Today we spotlight the "Man in Black."  There is not much I can further say about John R. Cash that has not already been said or publicised.

We know he was the son of cotton farmers, he served 4 years in the US Air Force as a Morse Code operator. A talented guitar player from the age of twelve. He was also known for his deep, distinctive bass - baritone voice. As soon as you heard it, you knew who was singing.

He had many images about him, the Outlaw,  the Highwaymen, the Man in Black. No matter which era you like Johnny Cash from, this morning is for you.

Here is what is in the spotlight for Classic Country Saturday.

  • Cry, Cry, Cry
  • Folsom Prison Blues - Live
  • Five Feet High and Rising
  • Sunday Morning Coming Down
  • Ghost Riders in The Sky
  • I Walk the Line
  • Boy Name Sue
  • Daddy Sang Bass
  • I've Been Everywhere
  • Jackson
  • One Piece at a time
  • Ring of Fire
Enjoy Johnny Cash this morning. And if you still mail letters, there is a new forever stamp that was released this past Wednesday. 3
