A few months back, Taron Egerton teased the return of Colin Firth in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Matthew Vaughn’s sequel to his surprise hit film based on Mark Millar’s graphic novel. Despite the fact that [SPOILER] Firth’s return seemed a bit impossible given the ending of Kingsman: The Secret Service, a new photo from the set of the sequel confirms that Harry Hart is indeed back, and he’s palling around with one of your favorite Game of Thrones stars.

First, let’s flashback to April, when Taron Egerton shared this interesting photo teasing Firth’s return:

If you’ve seen the first film, then you know that Firth’s character, Harry Hart, doesn’t exactly make it out intact. Instead, his young protege Eggsy (Egerton) takes Harry’s place as the newest Kingsman. If anything, most assumed we might get a cameo from Firth via flashback or something similar, but in a new photo from the set of the sequel, you can see the actor back in action with co-star Pedro Pascal:

Surprise! Okay, not so surprising since we basically already knew this was happening, but now it’s definitely more official. And even though Firth’s return was totally unlikely, it’s difficult to complain about considering how badass he was in Kingsman: The Secret Service. That “Freebird” church sequence was worth the price of admission alone. Hopefully we’ll get something similar in the sequel.

Firth, Pascal and Egerton are joined by Julianne Moore as the villainous Poppy, Halle Berry as the head of the CIA, and Channing Tatum and Jeff Bridges in mystery roles. Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters on June 16, 2017.
