Have you ever seen those movie ads on TV filled with gushing quotes from critics and thought to yourself, “I saw that movie; it was terrible. Where did they find these positive reviews?” If you have, you’re not alone — and you’re going to love ScreenCrush’s newest series, Critics Are Raving, which balances the cinematic scales with trailers full of slightly more accurate (and slightly more negative) lines from reviews. Real critics. Real quotes. Really bad movies. That’s what’s Critics Are Raving is all about.

On our fourth episode: An all-star cast including Will Smith, Kate Winslet, and Edward Norton all turn out for this supposedly heartwarming Christmas tale that is actually about (SPOILER ALERT) a bunch of ad execs gaslighting their grieving partner so they can make him look crazy and sell their company out from under him. Happy holidays everyone! Critics didn’t take kindly to Collateral Beauty (it’s got just a 14 percent on Rotten Tomatoes), and audiences weren’t too enthusiastic either, with the film earning just $7 million domestically last weekend (about four percent of what Rogue One made in the same time frame). Critics may have sent a “schoolyard assault” against the film, but at least they gave us some choice picks for this video.

This is our fourth Critics Are Raving trailer, but there are more on the way — if you’ve got a movie you’d like to see featured, let us know in the comments section below or send us a tweet or Facebook message. In the meantime, check out some past Critics Are Raving trailers. You will be raving about them when you’re finished.
