In a response that can only be described as underwhelming, last week we gathered what we thought were the best performances from the recent CMT Video Awards show, but we didn't seem to move you with the performances we presented. In lack-laster voting, the pairing of Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood garnered 50% of the voting, taking the title away for Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, and the tribute to Greg Allman featuring Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker and Charles Kelley.

This week, we're taking the showdown in a completely different direction. Instead of giving you songs you know, we want to see if maybe incredible video performances may be the key to making the Country Song Showdown a "must see" experience. So we have brought together two of the top video of the last year, videos for two songs by top artists that weren't even released as singles, but had incredible videos created for them none-the-less.

The week we are featuring the 2016 video for Chris Stapleton's song, "Fire Away" a video that was nominated for and won several industry awards without being released as a single. It will take on the latest video from Kenny Chesney, a topical video for the song "Rich and Miserable" from his Cosmic Hallelujah album.

So is it the song? Or is it the artistry of the video?. You tell us in this week's edition of the Country Song Showdown, brought to you by Oklahoma's Best Country, KLAW101. Voting will remain open until noon on Monday, June 26th.
