This is one of my favorite songs from Dierks Bentley. I have shared the official video with you before but this one is unique. I found this one on Vevo and it is a series called "GO Shows". Dierks chose Annapolis, Maryland for his GO Show because of the military families there. I want you to watch this video and tell me if you see something disturbing in the crowd that has gathered to watch him perform.

This is an amazing song with very strong lyrics. I just can't get past the fact that almost 90% of those standing there watching him have their stupid phones in front of their faces watching themselves record the performance versus just watching and enjoying. Why would you want to watch him through a little 7" screen when you know eventually the video is going to end up on Vevo or YouTube.

Put your stupid smart phones down and enjoy your surroundings. Enjoy the company of your friends at lunch time. Enjoy a glass of wine with your spouse after dinner. Sit on the front porch and watch the sun set and leave the phone in the house.

Here are the most important lyrics:

So I hold on.

To the things I believe in
My faith, your love, our freedom
To the things I can count on
To keep me going strong
Yeah, I hold on, I hold on.

Like the stripes to the flag,
Like a boy to his dad
I can't change who I am, right or wrong
So I hold on.

Just put the stupid smart phones down and enjoy your surroundings once in awhile, okay? Can we all make a pact?

Now, with that said, here are the links to download the song to your device (teehee?)
