Devin Dawson is extending his current Stray Off Course headlining tour due to high demand. Initially announced as a fall tour in August, the shows will run into 2019.

The trek kicked off on Nov. 1 in South Carolina and will run until February. The tour is named after a line in Dawson's introspective song "Dark Horse": "I'll side with the outsiders / Those longshot last-round fighters / Anyone who ain't afraid to stray off course."

"Dark Horse" has also been announced as Dawson's next single.

Devin Dawson's "Asking for a Friend" Hurts Good

"'Dark Horse’ is more than just the title track of this body of work — it’s the cornerstone, the glue, that tethered my entire debut project together," Dawson says. "These lyrics not only encapsulate exactly who I am, but who I believe everyone is, or at least as been, at some point in their lives. This song is truly the magnetic force between me and my fans and has resonated with them in ways I never knew were possible. Because of that, this next single choice is without a doubt a fan driven decision."

"When people shout out ‘Dark Horse!!’ every night from the beginning of my set and scream when we finally launch into that opening riff, the feeling is indescribable," he adds.

Tickets to the newly-added dates of the Stray Off Course Tour go on sale Nov. 6. C
