Dierks Bentley will be on hand to help launch the upcoming NFL season. The country star will perform live during the 2016 NFL Kickoff Presented by Hyundai on Sept. 8.

NBC is celebrating the start of the NFL season and the Denver Broncos' Super Bowl championship, and Bentley will appear throughout the 60-minute pre-game broadcast along with One Republic live from Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver. The program will launch the season-opening game between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos in a rematch of Super Bowl 50.

Bentley's career is hotter than ever with the recent release of Black, his much-anticipated eighth studio album. The first single from the record, "Somewhere on a Beach," has been one of the biggest songs at country radio during the summer of 2016, scoring Bentley his 14th No. 1 hit. The second single from Black, "Different for Girls," features Bentley singing with Elle King. He admits the duet with a pop artist was a risk.

“[I went] somewhere totally different with a song and an idea that’s very new for me to sing about,” Bentley tells the Tennessean of the track, which deals with the different ways men and women handle heartbreak and the different standards by which they are perceived.

“It’s a song I couldn’t have sung seven years ago before my daughter Evie was born. I could have, but I would have just sung it from one standpoint. Now I see it all the time. I have my girls … and I think the world is skewed some ways not in their favor,” he adds.

So far Bentley's risks have been paying off. He recently extended his Somewhere on  Beach Tour to run through October, with Randy Houser and Drake White joining him on the new dates.
