Dierks Bentley has landed on top yet again with his newest album, Black. But while the No. 1 spot on the charts is no new feat for Bentley, the project did notch the artist the best sales week of his career so far.

Black reached the No. 1 spot on both Billboard’s Top Albums and Top Country Albums charts. The disc sold more than 101,000 units in its first week (more than 88,000 of them being traditional albums) -- the most units Bentley has moved in one week since the beginning of his career.

The success of Black is in part due to its first single, "Somewhere on a Beach," which has also hit No. 1. Just prior to releasing Black on May 27, Bentley dropped the record's second single, "Different for Girls," which features Elle King and became the most-added song at country radio following its release.

Black follows Bentley's popular studio album Riser. The artist tells Rolling Stone Country that the tracks on his newest release “explore the shadows and edges of the heart. The songs on Black range from the lonesomeness of an impossible relationship to ones that describe the feeling of finding that person that makes you forget the one that broke your heart.”
