Don’t Google Woodland Hills Elementary… Nudes Pop Up (UPDATE)
UPDATE: This phenomenon has since been corrected. Original story below.
Apparently, when you Google Lawton’s Woodland Hills Elementary School, the photo it picks to best represent is an ex-student turned model, who happens to be quite nude. There’s no other way to state it. These are the facts.
As you might guess, this is a little bit of shenanigans. It’s completely true, but as we’ve learned in the past, there are ways to manipulate Google to do this.
A few years ago, facing a massive revolt of unhappy customers, Reddit users joined forces and attributed the Nazi flag to Comcast enough online that when you Googled ‘Comcast,’ swastikas would come back as the official company logo.
Eventually, Comcast realized they had to make a change, and start treating their customers better.
It’s not clear if this is a mistake of Google, or if a few savvy pranksters are taking a joke too far, but as the school year is looming, this couldn’t have come with worse timing.
