The New Dove Project That Uses Selfies to Define Beauty [VIDEO]
I honestly don’t know what television show I was watching when I saw this new Dove project ‘Selfie’. It really touched my heart. Back in April, we shared the Dove Sketch Artist Experiment. This new project captures the digital journey of a group of high school girls and their mothers, as they create a new type of selfie – one that celebrates their unique beauty.
Watching this video I can’t help but think of how hard I was, we ALL are, on ourselves, not only during high school but even today. Why can’t I look in the mirror and find those things that I LIKE about myself instead of all those things I don’t? And why, when someone might point out something minor that you think is a flaw, it manifests itself into this huge overgrown wart on the end of your nose? But let someone compliment you on something and you brush it off and never think about it again. How do you stop being so hard on yourself?

I would LOVE to see your selfies with your Mom or Grandmother or your best friend! Send them to me and I will start a photo gallery. As Dove requested, try not to apply any filters to your photo. You can email them to me here: firstname.lastname@example.org
