Additional Information

National Prevention Week is dedicated to increasing public awareness of, and action around substance abuse and mental health issue. In light of an ongoing prescription drug abuse epidemic in this country, we know that 100 people die from drug overdoses every day in the United States. This may be happening every day in our community, in our schools, in our workplaces, and maybe even in our homes. We need your help to stop these sad trends. Protect your family and be aware of medications available in your home and environment. You can save life by locking up your prescription drugs. Make a difference and take action to reduce prescription drug abuse. A locked box is all it takes! For more information, visit the Wichita Mountains Prevention Network at http://www.wmpn.org.

National Prevention Week 2013: Your voice. Your choice. Preventing substance abuse and promoting mental health starts with each and every one of us. Your voice counts. Your choices matter. How are you making a difference?
