We’ve seen the trailers. We’ve met several of Dory’s new aquatic co-stars. But now Pixar is backing things up just a bit to show us how Finding Dory made the leap from page to screen, with some gorgeous new concept art from the long-awaited sequel to Finding Nemo. The artwork primarily features Ellen DeGeneres’ lovably absent-minded Dory and Hank the octopus — a new character voiced by Ed O’Neill — as well as some landscapes and beautiful underwater scenes.

Disney and Pixar revealed the new concept art above, along with a series of sketches of Hank the octopus. Among the artwork, you’ll find Dory gazing up at a school of manta rays with Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo, and an image that seems to depict the marine life institute where Dory will meet many new friends in her exciting adventure:

Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory” welcomes back to the big screen everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang Dory (voice of Ellen DeGeneres), who’s living happily in the reef with Marlin (voice of Albert Brooks) and Nemo (voice of Hayden Rolence). When Dory suddenly remembers that she has a family out there who may be looking for her, the trio takes off on a life-changing adventure across the ocean to California’s prestigious Marine Life Institute, a rehabilitation center and aquarium. In an effort to find her mom (voice of Diane Keaton) and dad (voice of Eugene Levy), Dory enlists the help of three of the MLI’s most intriguing residents: Hank (voice of Ed O’Neill), a cantankerous octopus who frequently gives employees the slip; Bailey (voice of Ty Burrell), a beluga whale who is convinced his biological sonar skills are on the fritz; and Destiny (voice of Kaitlin Olson), a nearsighted whale shark. Deftly navigating the complex inner workings of the MLI, Dory and her friends discover the magic within their flaws, friendships and family.

Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy voice Dory’s parents, with Modern Family star Ty Burrell as Bailey the beluga and Kaitlin Olson as Destiny the whale shark. The film also features a reunion from HBO’s The Wire, with Idris Elba and Dominic West voicing a pair of territorial sea lions.

Finding Dory hits theaters on June 17.
