As East Cache Creek came out of it's banks this weekend, several residents were forced to leave their homes, or were stranded in them.

Two housing areas in East Lawton were evacuated on Sunday as the waters rose in Turtle Creek and Garden Village.  All roads to East Lawton were closed due to high water over the roadways.  Rogers Lane remains closed as damage to the asphalt occurred from the rushing water.  Residents in these areas were forced to travel to Walters to head East then up Hwy 65 to reach the East side of town.

More rain is forecast for Monday and the rest of the week.
