Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and social media are never, ever getting back together — at least not for awhile. In a heartfelt post on Instagram on Wednesday (July 20), Hubbard says he's stepping away to give more focus to his relationships.

"I've done a lot of thinking and praying about this for the last few days and I think it's time for me to take a break from social media indefinitely," the FGL singer writes. "I spend way to much of my valuable time worrying about my next post or how many comments or likes I got. Honestly it's a little ridiculous and I'm ready to get back to focusing all my attention on the things that really matter."

Hubbard continues to explain that while he loves his fans and he is far from gone forever from social media, he's allowing time away from the Internet to refocus.

"I'm taking some time to refocus on my relationships, the Lord, my marriage, my family, and my music. Maybe I'll even learn a new instrument instead of learning how to snap chat," he adds. "I want to make sure that I'm living my life to the fullest and not worrying about making a highlight reel for the world to talk about or comparing my life to other peoples highlight reels. That's not what life is about."

He closes his caption with the hashtag #backtothebasics alongside a photo that reads, "Done with the reel life and getting back to the real life."

While Hubbard may be done with social media for now, Florida Georgia Line fans can look to his bandmate, Brian Kelley, for updates on the album, road life and song previews before the duo's album Dig Your Roots impacts in August.
