Town Hall Meeting

  • For spouses and families of deployed soldiers, March 27 from 5-7 p.m. at the Graham Resiliency Center.
  • Bring your questions/concerns.
  • Child care available.

Basic Combat Training Graduation

  • Friday March 22, Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 31st Field Artillery @ 10 a.m.
  • Also Friday March 22, Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 19th Field Artillery @ 1 p.m.
  • At McMahon Auditorium, Lawton.
  • Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Vietnam Veterans Commemoration Welcome Home Ceremony (March 29 & 30)

  • We need everyone's help in informing our Vietnam Veterans about our upcoming celebration.
  • They don't have to live in the Lawton/Fort Sill area to participate.
  • Refer them to the website www.okvietnamwar50th.com.
  • Friday March 29 events at Fort Sill begin with veterans arriving between 9 and 9:30 and parking at the Field Artillery Museum.
  • They will board buses for a procession to the Rinehart Fitness Center at 9:45.
  • The Welcome Home Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
  • There is a luncheon planned for the first 500 who RSVP at 11:30 a m. at the Patriot Club. You can RSVP by calling 580-595-4559.
  • From about 12:45 to 1:45 the museum will offer special tours.
  • The veterans will then be honored at the Monthly Retirement Ceremony at 2 p.m. on the Old Post Quadrangle.
  • The Saturday March 30 event is a Vietnam War Commemoration ceremony at McMahon Auditorium at 11 a.m.
  • We want to recognize all our Vietnam veterans so if you are or you know someone who is a Vietnam veteran, please call 580-442-5460.

Easter Egg Hunt

  • The post Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday March 30 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Butner Field behind Cowan Dental Clinic. The hunt will start at noon.
  • It's open to children from 18 months to 11 years old.
  • There will be inflatables, food and beverages and more fun stuff.
