The three remaining American Idol finalists — Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Maddie Poppe and Gabby Barrett — burst onto the stage on the first night of the two-night finale on Sunday (May 20) aiming to impress viewers at home one more time. And for Gabby Barrett, that meant pulling out a Miranda Lambert cover yet again.

Fans will recall that Barrett's rendition of "Little Red Wagon" is the second time she has performed it this season, and once again, she seemed to thoroughly impress the judges.

"I remember when you sang that song earlier this season," judge Katy Perry said after her performance. "It was great, and I think if you A'd and B'd each one of them, you would see the obvious growth with the performance and with the interaction and with the comfortableness with the musicians and just showed that you are capable of taking notes and applying them and growing in realtime."

Of course, Barrett is hoping this growth translated to viewers, who have now voted for a winner that will be announced come Monday night (May 21). Connecting with these viewers is something that Barrett has been focusing in on all season.

"Social media is now a very big part of the equation compared to when American Idol first debuted," Barrett said in an interview with Taste of Country earlier this season. "It’s very important and it can totally help to get your career to skyrocket. I try to answer every DM and read every comment. The only problem is that we have such a small timeframe to be on our phones, but it’s the least we can do to make sure we talk to the fans who have gotten us where we are. I feel very fortunate to have such a platform."
