Garth Brooks fans in Baltimore are going to have to wait just a little bit longer to see their hero in concert. The superstar has been forced to postpone concerts scheduled for this weekend until the end of January due to severe weather.

Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, were slated to perform at Royal Farms Arena on Friday (Jan. 22) and Saturday (Jan. 23) as part of the multi-year Garth Brooks World Tour. The dates mark the first time Brooks has ever played Baltimore in his entire career. In a post to Twitter on Thursday (Jan. 21), the arena broke the news that the shows had been postponed because of incoming winter weather.

Brooks posted to his own Twitter within the hour to assure fans that the shows would go on. They have been rescheduled for Jan. 31 at 3PM and 7PM. Tickets for the existing shows will be honored for the new dates and times.

Tickets for the Baltimore run initially went on sale in November, and Brooks shattered the existing record for Royal Farms Arena, adding a show on Jan. 29 and two shows on Jan. 30 due to ticket demand. So far the upcoming winter weather is not projected to impact those dates.

Brooks released a new studio album, Man Against Machine, in 2014, and he's featuring a mix of his past biggest hits and new material at his live gigs. The shows also feature old and new songs from Yearwood, who released her latest project, PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit, last November. The enormous world tour kicked off last year, and is expected to last as long as three years.
