Garth Brooks has signed on to headline the 2018 Stagecoach Festival. It's his third announced date for next year, in addition to two slots at RodeoHouston.

Billboard confirmed the news, although there has been no official word from the festival. Brooks has typically stuck to headlining his own tour stops. In fact, he's exclusively done just that — the magazine reports that Stagecoach will be the first time he's every played a dedicated music festival (he made a surprise appearance at CMA Fest in summer of 2017).

Dates for the 2018 Stagecoach Festival are April 27-29 in Indio, Calif. Shania Twain was the surprise artist in 2017, although Kenny Chesney and Dierks Bentley helped round out an impressive three night bill. The lineup is traditionally announced in September.

The announcement proves Brooks isn't totally finished with North America, even though he'll wrap the North American leg of his world tour in Nashville later this year. He's expected to begin touring throughout Europe and perhaps Australia in 2018, although no dates have been announced. During a three-year run in Canada and America he has sold more five million concert tickets, typically playing two or more shows per city, often two in one night.

The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year and "Ask Me How I Know" singer came fully out of retirement in 2014 and has since delivered two studio albums plus a Christmas album to fans. "Baby Let's Lay Down and Dance" is the other single from his Gunslinger album, which dropped last fall.
