George Jones ‘White Lightning’ KLAW Classic [VIDEO]
In our 4th tribute to the late George Jones, and on the day of his funeral in Nashville, we focus on the very first #1 for the Possum.
Written by J. P. Richardson, better known as The Big Bopper, ‘White Lightning’ took a while to be recorded. Jones admittedly was intoxicated during the recording, and finished it in 80 takes. The producers and his own Bass player were not amused.
The finished product claimed the top spot though, here’s your KLAW Classic, ‘White Lightning’.
