Happy 60th Birthday to the King of Country Music George Strait!  Clearly one of the most beloved of all country music performers, George Strait has already been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, was named the ACM Artist of the Decade, and won his first Grammy for album "Troubador", all since the beginning of 2000!

To celebrate George's Birthday, we've come up with some little known facts about George Strait.  There's a twist though.  Four of them are correct and one is not.  Can you guess which one is the Lie?

  • George accepted the award, "National Medal of Art." from President Bush at the White House.
  • While stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii as a part of the 25th Infantry division (light), George began performing with an Army-sponsored band, Rambling Country, which played off-base under the
    name Santee.
  • George has Hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards five times.
  • George is a big fan of the NBA's Houston Rockets and can be seen courtside at many of the Rockets' home basketball games.
  • He wears Resistol Cowboy Hats
