‘Gotham’ Trots Out Every Bat-Villain It Has for Spring Return Trailer

Hey, did you know FOX’s Gotham is based on DC Comics character “Batman”? This “Batman” has colorful rogues, he does, many of whom appear in FOX’s Gotham! Come, see these “Batman” villains in a new trailer for Season 3’s spring return. It’s Bat-mandatory!

Ahead of an April 24 premiere, Gotham teases the new “Heroes Rise” arc with just about every villain in its arsenal, including The Riddler, Penguin, our future Catwoman, the Court of Owls, Talon, Firefly, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Hugo Strange, Fish Mooney, The Mad Hatter, Ra’s al Ghul, Evil Bruce (it’s a whole thing) and more. One certainly can’t ignore the visual references to Batman Returns or Batman Begins, either. It’s Batman-ity!

Meanwhile, here’s how Gotham describes next week’s “How The Riddler Got His Name”:

Nygma convinces himself that he doesn’t need Penguin to succeed and begins to introduce himself to Gotham as “The Riddler.” Bullock and Lucius Fox get caught up in Nygma’s mind games, while Gordon learns troubling news about his father’s death. Meanwhile, the Court of the Owls reveals its next move.
