The Highlanders quest for the Gold Ball will continue for yet another week as the Boys from up on the Hill   were in a quarterfinal fight with the Bishop Kelley Comets Friday at Cameron Stadium.  To the surpise to most of the fans in the stands and for us in the broadcast booth the Highlanders found themselves down 7-0 after one quarter of play. But with a few  defence adjustments and super plays on offence of one Quinton Parris ak: "Q" which included a 99 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Taylor Chasteen on their own 6 inch line. That seemed to break the Comets spirit and  put the Highlanders in front for good. Don't let the final score fool you this  Comet tean was one physicall bunch but in the end Big Mac prevails 31-14.

And then there are FOUR......Coaches will tell you its a special time to be practicing during the Thanksgiving week but dont get me wrong there is no one complaining in the coaches office right now. Trust me the staff won't mind left over turkey on Friday for a chance at a final walk through were most programs have already checked in their equipment. I'm sure every one of them remember all those long hot days in July. and with that in mind the message is very clear.

This week the Highlanders gear up for the Semi-Final game and a rematch of a common opponent  from our very own district, The Adrmore Tigers. If you remember that was the first Highlander district win in  which the Highlanders prevailed on the road 45-14.The game will be played this Saturday at 1:00pm at Yukon. I personally can't wait to make this trip to this outstanding brand new facility were I have heard alot of great things about. Steve,Mitch and I will be bringing the action to you live with our broadcast time starting at 12:30pm. Go BIG MAC!!!!   Hoka Hey!!!
