I love my cell phone.  Not as much as I love my family, but I will turn around and go back home to pick it up when I forget it.

I check it several times a day, just to make sure that I am not missing anything important.  I guess my 'phone love' makes me wonder about all of those who have left or forgotten their mobile devices at airports while traveling.  According to a recent survey, more than 8,000 passengers have left their laptops, cell phones and tablets, and USB drives.  Mind you, this survey was from only the 7 largest airports in the country.  Can you imagine what the number would be if the polled every major airport in the country?

This poll got me to thinking about the time that I lost my cell phone in my neighbors yard.  I was walking my dog (actually chasing him because he got out of the yard, again!), and when I bent over to pick him up, my phone fell out of my pocket.  I looked everywhere.  I did walk back down the street but I couldn't find it.  I called and cancelled the service and switched to my old phone.  Later that evening, my neighbor found it when he was mowing his grass.  This story has a happy ending.  Girl gets phone back!  Most stories don't have such a happy ending.

Where is the weirdest place that you have left or lost your cell phone?
