Media day at the newest attraction White Water Rafting at The Boathouse District in Oklahoma City started out cold and cloudy.  Little did I know that it would end sunny with a broken toe!

To be fair, I was warned that this is a sport, not a Sunday ride on the roaring rapids at Six Flags.  This is the real deal.  White Water Rafting.  Think the River Wild, only not quite so wild.  There were no guns involved after all.

We took our safety briefing and there was a point that I nearly backed out of taking the challenge, but I was feeling bold!  The first run we took was on the recreation course.  It features a few more turns but not nearly the crazy drops that the competitive course has.  All in all we took four runs, two on each course.  Believe them when they tell you that you will get wet.  Bring a towel, and a change of clothes; you will need them.  And make sure to wear sturdy shoes with closed toes.

This is an amazing adventure!  I highly recommend Riversport Rapids for your high energy adventure. They also have high speed slides, and zip lines and even stuff for the kids.  You might want to wait til it's warm...
