Hunter Hayes has been given a huge honor. The 22-year-old singer has been asked to headline the U.S. Open's annual Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, alongside other artists.

Hayes will be joined by MKTO and the Vamps during the festivities, and the 'Tattoo' singer says he feels honored to have even been considered for such an event, according to a release. The fun-filled weekend brings together kids, musicians and tennis champs in an attempt to motivate kids to stay healthy and get excited about sports, particularly tennis.

The 2014 Arthur Ashe Kids' Day is set to take place on Aug. 23 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York. This is also where tennis' last Grand Slam of the year is held.

As the event is the weekend prior to the beginning of the U.S. Open, a couple of important tennis pros will also appear, including new Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic, as well as French Open champ Rafael Nadal.

Disney star China Anne McClain is set to co-host the 2014 Arthur Ashe Kids' Day alongside Nickelodeon actor Jeff Sutphen. McClain may be best known for her role as Chyna Parks in Disney Channel's 'A.N.T. Farm.' Sutphen is no stranger to hosting events, especially on Nickelodeon, he hosts the channel's 'Figure it Out' and has since 2012.

The U.S. Open's annual Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, featuring Hunter Hayes, will air on TV on Aug. 24 on CBS.
