Jason Aldean is starting off the week back at the top slot on the country singles chart with his latest hit, 'Take a Little Ride.' The tune takes over the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts, leaping from No. 3 where it was positioned last week.

Penned by Rodney Clawson, Dylan Altman and Jim McCormick, 'Take a Little Ride' is the lead single from Aldean's forthcoming 'Night Train' album, set to hit stores on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The tune marks the eight time Aldean has taken over the No. 1 position in his career, and his 10th consecutive Top 5 single.

Working its way up the chart this week are songs by Dustin Lynch ('Cowboys and Angels'), Jana Kramer ('Why Ya Wanna'), Carrie Underwood ('Blown Away'), Easton Corbin ('Lovin' You Is Fun') and Miranda Lambert ('Fastest Girl in Town').

Hunter Hayes remains at No. 1 for the second straight week on the Mediabase / Country Aircheck chart with his latest single, 'Wanted' from his self-titled debut album. Aldean is waiting at No. 2 on that particular chart. He's up for three CMA Awards in November, including Entertainer of the Year.
