With good, albeit under-appreciated, country songs on Texas radio including: "What if," "Blame it on Waylon," "Ride of Your Life" and "Honky Tonk Heaven," Jason Cassidy has spent the past ten years establishing himself as a legitimate “country” artist in the Texas Music scene. Yesterday's release of “717,” only served to further cemented him more firmly in it.

In the same vein as current Texas artists Aaron Watson, Cody Johnson and Jon Wolfe, Cassidy is proving folks still want their country music. And he’s doing it with pounding melodies, intelligent lyrics, and uptempo high energy live shows.

The last time Cassidy stopped by Radio Texas, LIVE! we played "Keeping it Country." A game that has become tradition for him during his visits, that challenges Cassidy's ability to truly keep it country.

On the spot, Jason had to sing five songs from a few of our all-time favorite artists - live on the radio mind you. Folks are still talking about it.

If you want to see just how country Jason Cassidy can keep it, check out his brand new album "717," featuring "What Waylon Wouldn't Say," "Beers to You," his current radio single "Cowboy Girl," and many more country songs.
