Jeri Anderson’s Weekly Top 5 Country Songs
It’s time once again to choose my 5 favorite songs on the radio. Check out the amazing country songs that I picked to be on my fav list this week!
No. 1 – Blake Shelton – “Drink On It”
I think the opening of this song sounds like the old Toby Keith song, “He Ain’t Worth Missing”. What do you think? Blake is red hot with his wild tour, talented wife and hit TV show, The Voice.
No. 2 – Thompson Square – “Glass”
This is the latest song from the Academy of Country Music’s Vocal Duo of the Year. They had huge success with their first single, “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not”, and this is a great followup.
No. 3 – Miranda Lambert – “Over You”
This is one of the songs on my list of Favorite New Country Songs. This is such a haunting song, that I had to keep it on my list. Written by Miranda and her husband, Blake Shelton about the death of Blake’s brother, this one is a tear jerker.
No. 4 – Luke Bryan – “Drunk On You”
Ok, so this one is on my other list too, but it’s so hot, it has to stay on my favorite list. We call it the “Boom Boom” song at the KLAW studio…makes me go MMMH, Hmmm!
No. 5 – Eric Church – “Springsteen”
This song reminds me so much of going to my first concert! It was Charlie Daniels, not Bruce Springsteen, but the sentiment is the same. It makes me feel like I was seventeen again.
What is your favorite song on KLAW this week?
