John Denver ‘Thank God I’m a Country Boy’ KLAW Classic [VIDEO]

Our KLAW Classic hit the top of the Country Charts on this day 38 years ago.  The song was written by a band member for John Denver while he was in a particularly good mood and in a great place in his life.

You can hear ’Thanks God I’m a Country Boy’ played after the 7th inning stretch at several ballparks around the country, and it was actually one of six songs that hit the top of both the country and pop charts in 1975. John Denver actually had two of those with ‘I’m Sorry’ and today’s Classic ‘Thank God I’m a Country Boy’.
