Country music fans will be able to have A Very Kacey Christmas this year. Kacey Musgraves has revealed the release details for her first-ever holiday album.

A Very Kacey Christmas will be released on Oct. 28 through Mercury Nashville. The disc features Leon Bridges, Willie Nelson and the Quebe Sisters and was produced by Musgraves, Misa Arriaga and Kyle Ryan. Musgraves penned four new holiday tunes for the project, which draws inspiration from the likes of Bing Crosby, the Andrew Sisters and Nat King Cole, as well as the vintage sounds of the 1940s, '50s and '60s.

“Working on my first Christmas album has been one of the most enriching musical experiences I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it,” says Musgraves in a press release. “I really wanted to create a whimsical throwback holiday record, one that evokes feelings of nostalgia and simpler times. I think that the fine musicians and brains that were a part of this project have helped me create a body of music that can be added to people’s classic collections.”

In addition to those four new tracks that Musgraves wrote for A Very Kacey Christmas, the singer-songwriter re-worked some well-known holiday classics to round out the 12-track record.

"It would have been easy to simply copy old versions of these songs that have been around forever," Musgraves admits, "but it was very important for us to build arrangements that are totally new and very me."
