Wow! Kalie Shorr is a newcomer to many fans, but she's still got the support to pull out a win over Reba McEntire in the Showdown. She'll go on to face a new challenge from another country veteran, Trace Adkins.

Shorr is one of the leading lights of the #LetTheGirlsPlay movement, which formed in Nashville in response to the hard time female artists have been having in the country genre over the last few years. Her new single, "Fight Like a Girl," was inspired by last year's so-called "Tomatogate" incident, and so far country fans are eating it up.

Adkins has bounced back from a pretty tough period in his life with the confessional "Jesus and Jones," a song that speaks to both temptation and redemption, sin and salvation. It's a very strong comeback that's among the most personal songs he's ever recorded.

Listen to clips of both Shorr’s and Adkins' songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Friday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Friday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
