Get a Little Tease of Kane Brown’s New Song, ‘Good as You’ [Listen]
Who's ready for a new song from Kane Brown? The singer hasn't released a full version yet, but he's sharing a healthy snippet of his latest, "Good as You," which marks another track from his upcoming album Experiment.
"Good as You" was written by Brown, Brock Berryhill, Shy Carter, Taylor Phillips and Will Weatherly. The song describes a relationship with a sweet-hearted girl who takes care of her mom, takes care of her man, lights up any room she enters and seems too good to be true—and Brown feels inspired to live up to her standards in return.
"It may take a hundred lifetimes to do/ But baby I just want to be good as you," he sings, with a big smile on his face, while a gentle banjo line plays under the lyrics.
"This album is really all over the place," Brown tells Taste of Country, explaining that the title is quite apt in terms of what he's doing. "It’s almost like an experiment of sorts. I’m trying to just listen to what country fans are leaning toward."
Brown is having a momentous week, topping the list of country nominees at this year's American Music Awards with three nods. He's up for Favorite Male Artist — Country, Favorite Album – Country for his 2016 self-titled debut release and Favorite Song – Country for his No. 1 single "Heaven" at the AMAs.
