As it turns out, Kelly Clarkson isn't having any trouble finding a duet partner after all. Clarkson joined talk show host Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Monday (March 2) to perform an epic medley of famous duets.

Clarkson recently opened up about her desire to collaborate with other artists, but admits that she's been turned down more than once. Well, Fallon is not one of those naysayers.

"Kelly Clarkson is on the show tonight and she's awesome," says the host in the above clip. "I was actually reading a piece last week that says she's been having trouble finding people to do duets with her. I don't understand what they're talking about — I would love to do a duet with Kelly Clarkson!"

Enter the first American Idol star! During their duet to top all duets, Fallon and the "Piece by Piece" singer cover eleven classic duets from artists including James Taylor, Carly Simon, Lionel Richie and Diana Ross.

Kicking things off with the iconic "I Got You Babe" by Sonny and Cher, Clarkson and Fallon put their own spin on their duets, with Clarkson showing off her signature powerhouse vocals and Fallon showing off his signature imitation skills — especially when it comes to Aaron Neville about three minutes in. While the collaborative medley is full of decades of popular duets, a favorite for country fans will, of course, be the 1983 hit, "Islands in the Stream" by the incomparable Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.

Clarkson's new album Piece by Piece was released on March 3, and while it's officially a pop album, Clarkson cites influences from rock, R&B and country music. With a genre-crossing album and duet to top all duets with Fallon, more artists will likely be clamoring to work with her in no time.
