Kelsea Ballerini will be celebrating the holidays with new music. The singer recently teamed up with two-time Grammy-nominated pianist Joey Alexander for a new rendition of "My Favorite Things."

"Putting out 'Favorite Things' with Joey has been one of my proudest and most exciting projects and moments so far," Ballerini says in a press release. "He is so incredibly talented and, more so, so humble. Being in the studio and listening to him play so effortlessly over and over really challenged me to be my best. I'm so excited for people to hear this!"

The iconic song from The Sound of Music is also the title track of Alexander's debut instrumental album, released last year. Ballerini and Alexander joined forces for the performance of the song on the 2016 CMA Country Christmas special, which airs on Nov. 28.

“I got a good dose of that warm southern hospitality from the folks from Black River Records and the Nashville country music community, and performing with Kelsea Ballerini was amazing,” Alexander adds. “I’m really proud of the work we’ve done and excited to share our new holiday single with the world.”

The 2016 CMA Country Christmas special airs on ABC on Nov. 28 and Christmas Eve. Taped at the famed Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, the evening includes performances by Ballerini and Alexander as well as Brett Eldredge, Kacey Musgraves, Jennifer Nettles, Chris Young, Loretta Lynn, Trisha Yearwood, Idina Menzel, Andra Day, Kelly Clarkson and more.
