A recent KLAW Classic from Kenny Rogers.  This song hit the top of the country charts on this day in the year 2000, and featured background singers Billy Dean and Alison Krauss.

In fact, it was the only number one song to the credit of both of those background artists. And at the time, Kenny Rogers earned the distinction of being the oldest artist to hit the number one spot on the country charts until unthroned by the 70 year old Willie Nelson with his Toby Keith duet 'Beer for my Horses'.

Here's 'Buy Me a Rose', your KLAW Classic!
