Harrison to runner-up on season 12 of American Idol. The track is a scorching country break-up track with hints of Miranda Lambert, Patty Loveless and other strong-headed female country greats.

The song tells the story of a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” con man who’s taken advantage of the hospitality of a broken-hearted woman. In the lyrics, Harrison takes no prisoners.

“You ain’t the king of this castle / You ain’t the rule of this roost / Baby, let me save you the hassle / Your feet will never fit in them boots.” Ouch.

After finishing second on Idol, Harrison released the single “Strong And Silent,” but was not picked up by Universal Music Group Nashville. In 2015, she signed with Plaid Flag Records, an independent label that will release Harrison’s debut this summer.

“Dead Man’s House” is the follow-up to “This Old Thing,” the first single from her forthcoming album of the same name. Both tracks cultivate a classic country vibe with plenty of '60s soul influence, which bodes well for This Old Thing, set for release July 8.
