Lady Antebellum – Hillary Scott

Lady Antebellum may do country but it's not about life on the farm.

 Hillary Scott tells Elle magazine "there aren't a ton of people in this country who will understand songs about riding a tractor through a pasture."

 But, she says "when it comes to falling in love and out of love and getting your heart broken, there's no way you cant understand what the songs about."

Of the 11 singers chosen for Elle's Women in Music issue, Hillary Scott is the only one who's country.

Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Nicks, Aretha Franklin and Gwen Stefani are some of the names Elle has chosen for its women in music edition.
