LeAnn Rimes hasn't exactly been private about her emotional struggle. Earlier this year, the singer checked into a 30-day treatment center for stress and anxiety, and now she's opening up to the world about her battle with depression, too.

Rimes recorded an interview with E! News, in which she talks about dealing with depression. The interview will air on Dec. 9.

"When you look around and you go 'I'm crying, like, uncontrollably, no one can help me,' that's when I knew I had to seek help," Rimes admits. "I was incredibly depressed and not quite sure of who I was."

When you're dealing with anxiety, depression and stress, it doesn't help to be the center of public scrutiny and bullying. Rimes has been involved in a very heated social media battle with Brandy Glanville, the ex-wife of Rimes' husband Eddie Cibrian.

Glanville has Twitter to feud with Rimes, accusing her of being a terrible stepmother, having an eating disorder and being "trashy."

"People are so quick to judge and make decisions for themselves about situations they know absolutely nothing about," Rimes tells E! News.

For now, the singer is trying to ignore other people's opinions and focus on herself.

"I've been in therapy my whole life," she told the Boston Herald. "I like going. I like being able to have that third-party input and someone to listen that has nothing to do with your life. Everyone has an opinion of how I am and how I should be, and now I'm focusing on how I want to be."

The country songbird's new focus on herself has lead her to record a new album, 'Spitfire,' which will be released in 2013.
