This anthem on the hectic life of a young mother with another on the way was penned by Shel Silverstein, and was the title track of the album of the same in 1971 by Loretta Lynn. 'One's On The Way' was what one historian called Loretta's 'feisty' songs, which included 'Don't Come Home A Drinkin' With Loving On Your Mind', and 'The Pill'.
