Lucas Hoge recently released a new holiday album, Christmas Is Here, and one of its tracks is a festive medley that combines four classic Christmas songs into the perfect holiday treat. The Boot's readers can press play above to watch an exclusive performance of the medley, recording live at the Hilson Studio in Nashville.

In his Christmas Medley, Hoge mixes together "O Come All Ye Faithful," "We Three Kings," God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and "My Favorite Things," offering a unique and beautiful spin on the traditional hymns and holiday favorites. The medley starts off with an intimate and stripped-down a cappella version of "O Come All Ye Faithful," during which Hoge's deep baritone is perfectly complemented by his bandmates. But from there, the song is a true mashup: The artist pairs verses from the the other three tracks, rhyming "we three kings" and "my favorite things" with cheeky aplomb, accompanied by some intricately beautiful guitar playing.

Hoge tells The Boot that the inspiration for this Christmas medley came after he heard a similar tune from singer-songwriter Skip Ewing. For his own mashup, Hoge decided to add the a cappella version of "O Come All Ye Faithful" to the beginning of the track.

Hoge's Christmas medley is just one of 10 tracks on his new Christmas release, Christmas Is Here. The record features five original songs and five classics; it's Hoge's first holiday album, and will put even the biggest Scrooge in the holiday spirit.

"I absolutely love Christmas. I love everything about it -- mostly celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ," says Hoge. "Recording this holiday album, Christmas Is Here, was a long time coming. I'm excited to share it, especially some of the new songs we wrote, like "Christ In Christmas.""

Christmas Is Here follows Hoge's 2016 single, "Boom Boom." For more information on the album, single and upcoming tour dates, visit Hoge's official website.
