Luke Bryan is about to kick off his ninth-annual Farm Tour, and he's going to have some help. In addition to opening acts Jon Pardi and Adam Craig, Bryan has called on Jon Langston, DJ Rock and the Peach Pickers (Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip) to fill out the lineup.

Not many other artists ask this many people to join them on the road, but Bryan has his reasons. "Nothing makes me smile more than to watch new artists walk out there, and they're like, 'This is what it's like? This is crazy. There's a lot of people here," he tells the Boot. “By offering multiple artists [the chance] to be in the front, the first act, it was just an opportunity for me to spread the opportunity out there a little more and have fun with it. You can always tell their appreciation and tell how much they enjoy it.”

Bryan's 2017 Farm Tour will take place from Sept. 28 through Oct. 7. The superstar and friends will visit six small towns and farms throughout the Midwest.

Along with performing for some of his most loyal fans, Bryan takes time to honor them in a special way. Since he started these rural tours back in 2009, he's awarded 50 scholarships to local students of farming families in the communities he visits on tour.

Roughly 100,000 people come out to see the Farm Tour shows each year.
