Luke Bryan Announces New Tour, Album Project

Luke Bryan held a press conference today in Nashville earlier today and made several announcements, including a new tour, a new album, a new spring break show in Panama City, FL (also adding it would be the show's last year in Panama City), a final spring break album, Luke Bryan's Checkin' Out, and a European leg of this year's tour.

Bryan's press conference, which was held at the Country Music Hall of Fame and streamed live at lukebryan.com welcomed Hall Director Kyle Young, who named Bryan the Hall's next major featured artist exhibit. the exhibit, entitled 'This Is Luke Bryan' is scheduled to open in May and run through November.

Bryan announced a new tour for 2015, the "Kick up The Dust Tour". And while not releasing any further details, Bryan did let it "slip" there was a new album project on the way. He stated that the new tour was named after a song on the new album, and then seemed to catch himself right AFTER he said it. So the cat is out of the bag that their will be a new album from Bryan in 2015. He later confirmed the new album, that now release date is scheduled yet and that only four songs have been recorded so far.

Bryan achieved the best touring year of his career in 2014, when 1.7 million fans attended his concerts. Highlights from his “That’s My Kind of Night Tour” included mounting four sold-out stadium shows attended by a combined 225,000 people; setting an all-time country record for tickets sold at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh and at Soldier Field in Chicago; selling out two shows in New York City’s Madison Square Garden and becoming the first country artist to play Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The tour also had sold-out double plays in eleven cities and broke numerous venue attendance records along the way.

Bryan, the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, will co-host the 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards with Blake Shelton for a third consecutive year on April 19th.
