From the moment the doors opened at C.W. Scooters, it was apparent that the sell-out crowd was ready for a rocking good-time.

And that's just what Dustin Lynch and opening act Logan Mize delivered, as they brought the Taste of Country Christmas tour to Lawton on Saturday night.

Logan Mize recently signed his first major recording contract. His debut album, State of Your Heart, which has sold over 100,000 copies independently, will receive a little studio rework and be re-released by Arista Records. On Saturday night, he showed exactly why he is the internet sensation he is, with an acoustic set that lit the place on fire.

Mize featured songs from the album, most of which were new to the crowd, who accepted them, and Mize, like they had been listening to his music for years. Logan's ability as a musician was showcased as he performed without a backing band, but the crowd did not care as he carried them through a strong 45-minute set.

From there, Dustin Lynch took the stage and the well-frenzied crowd exploded. Lynch led us through songs from his debut album ("Cowboys and Angels", "She Cranks My Tractor" and "Wild In Your Smile"), his most recent album Where It's At ("She Wants A Cowboy", "Hell of a Night", "Middle of

Nowhere", "Your Daddy's Boots" and "Where It's At") as well as a surprise or two (including a cover of the Johnny Cash classic "Folsom Prison Blues").

It was an incredible set that showed off not only Lynch's voice and guitar licks, but also the abilities of his back-up band. Every song had them out on the dance floor, with the fans

stacking the stage five or more deep, anticipating every song, every moment of the show and every movement by Lynch. By the time he got to "Cowboys and Angels", his signature ballad, Lynch had drained every ounce of emotion from the crowd, sending them out into the cool Lawton night happy and satisfied.

Dustin Lynch shows a lot of promise in the country music world and on this Saturday night in Lawton, he kept that promise and then some.
