When MacArthur High School sophomore TJ Fialoa first proposed passing on a long family tradition of the "Haka" - a New Zealand tribal war dance - to the Highlanders football team, it was met with a little apprehension by some.

The dance was soon adapted as the Highlander's pregame warm-up ritual, which those who get to the games early are treated to. The "Haka" is a special energizing chant with Fialo leading the Mac charge in the center of things.

The "Haka" tribal war dance is very intimidating to unsuspecting opposing teams that come in contact with the Big Mac attack. The video below is of one of the Highlander's practice sessions to hone their tribal skills.

TJ has been performing the "Haka" since he was 8-years-old.

ENJOY!!!
