Week 8 of the regular football season found the MacArthur Highlanders looking for their fourth straight win in a row during homecoming week against the Altus Bulldogs at Cameron stadium last Friday night.

On a cool October Friday evening under the lights of Cameron stadium, the Highlanders wasted no time by picking up where they left off offensively finding their way into the end zone on their first drive and going up 7-0. Altus responded on their second possession of the first quarter tying the game at 7 a piece, but that would be the last time the game was really close. After that, the Highlanders settled in on both sides of the ball and held Altus to only 14 points the entire evening.

There has been a lot of attention and interest over the Highlander defense, which kept the pesky Bulldogs from scoring only one time in each half.

The Big story of the night once again was the Highlander high octane offense which can explode at any time, and this time with big scores from quarterback Will Collins who threw for over 280 yards and 4 touchdowns. Gary McKnight Jr. had a great catch and score with double coverage.

But the night belonged to senior newcomer Kori Robinson - a move in from Wichita Falls, Texas  - who had 3 scores on the night, a 2-point conversion, and an incredible 95-yard touchdown return  that had to be seen to really appreciate.

Final score: 48-14.

Big Mac goes 6-2 on the season and 4-1 in the District and will follow up with a short week hosting Capital Hill this Thursday on Halloween night at Cameron stadium.

Check back early in the week to get a preview and talk about a change up in the district that will help the Highlanders heading into the final week of the regular season.
