Before we congratulate our winner of week 10's Play of the Week, I would like to quickly congratulate Alex Rodriguez, who this weekend became the 29th player in Major League history to reach the 3,000 hit plateau. Rodriguez reached reached the mark on Friday, with a first inning home run off of Detroit Tiger ace Justin Verlander. With the homer, Rodriquez becomes only the third player in history, joining Wade Boggs and former teammate Derek Jeter, to homer for his 3000th hit.

Carlos "Car-Go" Gonzalez' diving catch to rob Cincinnati Red Pete Kozma took home our Play of the Week for week 10 of the major league season. In a week of soaring outfielders, the Colorado Rockie's right fielder edged out Baltimore Oriole center fielder Adam Jones to advance to our season finale, the Plays of the Year.

Each week, we are going to be giving you the "best of the best" and giving you the opportunity to vote on our "Play of the Week." At the end of the major league season, we will compile our list of winners, and vote on the "Play of the Season."

Enjoy this week's flashes of leather and vote for your favorite! And don't forget to vote for your favorite players for this year's Major League All-Star Game, to be played July 14th at The Great American Ballpark in Cincinatti.
