Current ACM Awards Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert performed Linda Ronstadt's "Willin'" on Saturday night (May 14) in Indianapolis, Ind., during her 2016 Keeper of the Flame Tour.

In the video above, Lambert introduces the performance by saying, “I was going to save this song for later. This is one of my favorite songs. I wish I had written it. It’s an old one. It’s called "Willin'."" She reveals that she decided to cover the song in part because her agent calls it "one of his favorite," and he was in the crowd that evening.

"He's been with me for, like, 14 years," Lambert notes. "Longer than that."

Nodding to the song's message, the country star adds, "No matter what, we all gotta get on a bus, we gotta get in a truck, we gotta go somewhere ... Whether you're going to better yourself or going to get away from something or going somewhere amazing, you gotta be willing to do it, you gotta have the guts.”

And with that, Lambert strummed her acoustic guitar and sang: "I've been from Tucson to Tucumcari / Tehachapi to Tonapah / Driven every kind of rig that's ever been made ... I've been kicked by the wind, robbed by the sleet / Had my head stoved in, but I'm still on my feet, and I'm still willin'."

Written by Lowell George, "Willin'" comes from Ronstadt's Grammy-winning fifth solo album, Heart Like a Wheel, which was released in 1974. Readers can press play on the video above to watch the full performance.
