Miranda Lambert Reportedly Set To Make Big Screen Debut

Add screenwriter and movie actress to Miranda Lambert’s résumé. She is reportedly working with music video director Trey Fanjoy on a proposed theatrical film.

Tentatively titled ‘Something in the Water’, the comedy would cast Lambert as one of five women who compete in a bass-fishing tournament. Lambert is reportedly set to work with Fanjoy  (“Somethin’ Bad,” “The House That Built Me”) and screenwriter Cindy McCreery on the script. Her record label, Sony Music Nashville, confirms that the project is in the “early stages of development.”

The film would mark Lambert’s first venture onto the silver screen, but not her first acting gig. In 2012, she guest starred on Law & Order: SVU.
