Some animals in need are going to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, thanks to Miranda Lambert and Ram Trucks.

The 'Smokin' and Drinkin'' singer raised $66,000 for her MuttNation Foundation through a recent online auction, which featured signed copies of her 'Platinum' CD, signed guitars and tickets to one of Lambert’s concerts in 2015, including a pre-show cocktail with her.

The centerpiece of the auction was a customized Ram Laramie Longhorn truck, which sold for $54,901. The other items brought in a combined total of nearly $11,000.

“I’m happy to see everyone come together to raise so much money for MuttNation Foundation, which is so close to my heart,” says Lambert. “I appreciate Ram for donating the truck to me to auction off and for making this all possible. So many dogs will have happier holidays and lives thanks to this generosity.”

Muttnation Foundation is a donation-supported 501(c)(3) foundation whose purpose is to better the lives of shelter animals.

The auction was just the beginning of a new partnership between Lambert and Ram Trucks, with more to come in 2015.

“I have lived my entire life surrounded by trucks even to this day. I have also written songs that mention trucks, so I am so happy to be partnering with Ram,” Lambert says. “I’m looking forward to more exciting news with Ram Trucks in 2015.”
