The weather was a record high for the 12th day of January, tipping the thermometer at 77 degrees.  A welcome change for organizers of the annual 'Frost Ya Fanny' Run.

The run which was originally scheduled for early December fell victim to the ice and frigid temps and had to be rescheduled.

Today, 600 plus runners participated in the timed event which included a Kid's run, 'Candy Can Chase', a 1 mile fun run and a 5K.  Pennie Wolfe from the City of Lawton Parks and Recreation department said, "We only had about 20 packets not picked up.  It was a good turn out."
